ALEX GOUDIE PARK

Public BBQ

This park centres around a small lake that attracts plenty of ducks and birdlife. The undercover barbecue area provides shelter for gatherings, with tables and chairs available. A walking path loops around the water, offering tree-lined shade throughout. The playground is compact but functional, suitable for younger children and bike riding along the paths. The "Tree of Nations" feature displays trees from different countries, each with a wooden plaque made by the local men's shed. The park sits tucked behind the Royal Hotel, about 30 minutes from Pakenham. While generally well-maintained with lush lawns, some sections near the lake show signs of wear and could use attention. Parking is available on-site. The lack of toilet facilities is a notable gap. The quiet atmosphere means it's rarely crowded, making it suitable for dog walking or relaxed picnics. The pond area remains unfenced, which may be a concern for families with small children.
